There is a lot going on in HR Tech in Germany, and over the last few years Michael Kramarsch has done a remarkable job in the HR community. Together with Elke Eller, he has built up the HR Start-up Award in Germany and it is now in its 9th year.
If you meet the criteria below, entries are due by the 31st of March. We welcome international entries too (I should have posted this a while ago, but better late than never).
The HR Start-up Award targets start-ups in the first to fifth year since their incorporation, who offer a ready-to-use product or service marketed towards the HR function in organizations. It addresses organizations with business-to-business (B2B), business-to-customer (B2C) and peer-to-peer (P2P) business models. Start-ups that have already applied in previews years may of course apply again this year.”

Many reasons to participate, other than hanging in the coolest city on the planet, Berlin, and seeing me there. It is a good opportunity for start-ups from outside Germany who are targeting the German market.
- Each application will be reviewed by every jury member – attract the attention of 13 decision makers from the investment scene as well as from global corporates such as Bosch, BP, Meta, Siemens and Stihl.
- The top 3 start-ups will be invited as finalists to the Personnel Management Congress (PMK) in Berlin, June 20 -21, 2024 – one of the biggest HRM events in Germany. Ready to meet 1,500 potential clients?
- Finalists will be given a big stage for their pitches on the second day of the PMK.
- Finalists will have a coaching chat with one of the jury members as well as further networking and publication opportunities.
- The winners of the Audience Award and the special prize will receive an advertising budget worth 5,000 euros for high-reach HR specialist media.

As is my usual style, I’ll end with a song. Bowie singing Heroes in Berlin. I’ve posted it before but it is so good, I’ll post it again. This won’t be the last time, either.
