In my experience, software built for any fad is quicksand that tends to lead to mountains of technical debt (been there, done that, got the t-shirt). The key is to use these early experiments to learn - learn where users find value and where and how software can lean on new tech to deliver *new* value. I love the Empire podcast, learned a huge amount from that source over the last year BIT I can do without Anita Arnand silly jabs at William Dalrymple.
