The Future of Work 100
Venture Capital Backed Future of Work Companies. Curated by Acadian Ventures.
Jason, my partner at Acadian Ventures, has a secret hobby that isn’t a secret any more. He geeks out on lists. Airtable is his happy place. For past few months he has been noodling with data and a robust research methodology to come up with Future of Work 100 list.
Collectively, the Future of Work 100 maintains a market capitalization of over $200 billion. The companies on this year’s list come from 16 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. The companies also span many categories including productivity and collaboration, HR and payroll, and health and wellness. What’s most exciting about the list, though, is that the companies are addressing fundamental challenges that create more sustainable work and enduring workforces.
I suggest you go and have a look at the list and the research.
Why did we do this?
Other than Jason liking lists?
The market for Future of Work solutions is bigger and more complicated than many observers and even investors think. It is multi-faceted, layered, fragmented, dynamic and vibrant. We want to showcase this. The report enables you to see which VCs have funded these companies, where in the world the companies are are from and what do.
Our investment thesis is founded upon the conviction that this is a massive, complex market. We can use this report to guide our investors, portfolio companies, founders, fellow venture capitalists, HR leaders, other vendors and analysts.
Over the next few weeks we are going to dig deep into the list, the data, the founders and companies behind the names. We have learnt a lot from doing this, and we plan to share that learning with you.
Drop us a note, comment on our linkedin post, we’d love to hear what you reckon.
